My name is Alex Beekman. I live in Zaandam the Netherlands.

I started making music when I was 12 years old on the most old-school keyboard you can ever imagine. Our neighbours where musicians and they had a son with which I grew up with. So every winter from my 8 till 12th year we spend hours in there attic. Just to play with all the instruments. Later they moved away and I didn’t touch an instrument for quite some years.

When I was 18, I borrowed a guitar from a friend. It was the first time that I ever touched a guitar. I still remember my first hours with that guitar. It was already very clear to me that this was something I wanted to do for a very long time. So I Started with Sound Education, a school that teach you everything about music and sound. From producer to sound design for movies and studio acoustics. When I was almost done with school I started a band whit some friends of mine Jianni and Dave. Just to play, learn, making hours and making a lot of mistakes which we learnt from. Even today we still make a lot of mistakes to learn from. But anyway we started a band 2013 with the name Art of Fear. We were not very serious back then. After one year we split up and Dave and I started something new: NafearyA.

My inspiration came from so many things: People, Traveling, Stories, experience etc. I listen a lot of different Music like Classic, 60’s 70’s, Folk, Metal and even sometimes electronic music. Since I discoverd Art It became my work, hobby and lifestyle. I will never stop enjoying it.
